How Design Was always The Answer

I came to UX through years of client-facing work and early leadership, learning how to listen closely, ask better questions, and make thoughtful decisions. Thanks to my non-linear path, I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to design and care deeply about how design choices shape people’s experiences.

  • Listening to Understand

    I’ve always been curious about people and how they move through the world. As a kid, that curiosity showed up through creative hobbies and a constant desire to understand how things worked. Over time, it grew into hands-on work supporting people one-on-one and helping create environments where people felt supported and understood.

    Those experiences shaped how I listen, adapt, and thoughtfully represent people’s needs through my design work.

  • Navigating Complex Systems

    My path into UX wasn’t linear. After exploring different creative directions, I completed my Social Service Work diploma and began supporting people as they navigated unfamiliar systems. Seeing how often people felt overwhelmed shaped how I approach design today, with a focus on clarity, structure, and helping people move forward with confidence.

  • Designing with Responsibility

    UX design gave me a way to bring together my interest in people and systems with a desire to make things feel clearer and more usable. It allows me to make intentional design decisions that balance empathy with structure.

    In my work, I focus on designing experiences grounded in real-world context, prioritizing clarity and accessibility over visual trends.
